Bye, bye Compulsory helmet for guests
Refinery visits now without helmet thanks to new traffic safety concept
The time that employees and guests had to wear helmets during tours is now over. Thanks to a new traffic route plan, the German refinery can now be visited without a helmet.
The new traffic route plan makes the refinery site safer for all employees and visitors. "In order to achieve this, we have developed a concept that not only regulates truck traffic but also pedestrian areas," says Managing Director Sebastian Erlenkämper. "This has the positive side effect that in some refinery parts the helmet obligation could be generously waived", he continues.
For better orientation, paths for use were marked and pipe bridges crossing the footpaths were fitted with nets so that there is no danger of falling objects. With the obligation to wear a helmet on the paths of use, the obligation for protective equipment could also be lifted there.
